Like many dancers, Yellowjohn started dancing when his mother would walk him until he could do it himself. Throughout his years of dancing, he was a part of a community of dancers and drummers.
There became a point in his life where he left the pow-wow community, after a fainting incident moments after his competition, and wouldn't dance for a matter of years.
After the passing of a family member, he dusted off his old grass dance outfit, he then would be reminded of the joy of dancing, and would share with others to not lose sight of what you love doing.
Today he reconnects.
